EAU GALLE, Wis (WSAU-Wheeler News) A second tornado has been confirmed from last weekend’s heavy storms in Wisconsin. It landed just before 2 am Saturday north of Eau Galle in Dunn County. The National Weather Service said the tornado stayed on the ground for 12 minutes, with winds of up to 88-miles-an-hour. It caused mainly tree damage along an eight-mile path.
The Weather Service rated it as an E-F-1 tornado on its scale from zero-to-five. The other weekend tornado landed in far southern Wisconsin in Rock and Walworth counties.
Nine tornadoes have fallen in the Badger State this year. The average is around two dozen for an entire year.
