KIMBERLY, WI (WTAQ) – A formal charge has been filed against a former Kimberly Papermakers booster club treasure accused of stealing money from the group.
Online court records indicate Carrie L. Kluge is facing a single charge of fraudulent writings by a corporate officer. Fox Valley Metro police were seeking 26 counts against Kluge, noting multiple transactions in which she allegedly took funds.
Kluge is due to make her initial appearance in court August 4.
School district officials estimate $60,000 was stolen while Kluge was treasurer from August 2012 through January 2015. Officials say $49,000 has been returned.
