Combined Locks, WI (WTAQ) – A police officer saves a woman from a home filled with smoke in Combined Locks.
It happened on Wallace Street about 7 last night.
Fox Valley Metro police say an officer saw smoke coming out of a window, and heard a smoke alarm.
He went inside and found the home filled with smoke. Then heard a woman’s voice and found her sitting at a table.
He was able to help her get out.
The woman was checked out by paramedics and is O-K.
She’s deaf, has poor eyesight and uses a walker.
Investigators say food cooking on the stove caught fire.
