(WNFL) – Green Bay defensive end Datone Jones was ticketed for marijuana possession, just seven hours after the Packers’ loss at Seattle in January’s NFC Championship Game. Jones was suspended for one game last week by the NFL for breaking the league’s substance abuse policy. The Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting Jones paid an 880-dollar fine for a non-criminal citation he received around 12:30 the morning after Green Bay’s loss at Seattle which cost them the Super Bowl. That was about a couple hours after the Packers’ plane returned. Police said a woman reported a suspicious situation in the parking lot of an apartment complex — and officers found Jones and a woman in an SUV with a strong odor of marijuana.
