(WNFL) – It appears that the Milwaukee Bucks will keep their top shooting guard, Khris Middleton. ESPN says the two sides are close to agreeing to a five-year deal worth 70-million-dollars. The fifth year would be a player option, similar to the one Bucks’ forward Jared Dudley signed yesterday to stay in Milwaukee. The 23-year-old Middleton was traded from Detroit two seasons ago, in the deal that sent Brandon Jennings to the Pistons. Middleton averaged 13 points, four rebounds, and almost 2.5 assists in his third NBA campaign. He became the first player in the league to make buzzer-beating three-pointers to win two games in a season since Kobe Bryant did it five years ago. Middleton is a restricted free agent, and today is the first day free agents can negotiate with teams. They cannot sign new contracts until a week from tomorrow.
