GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Not all cities allow food trucks to do business on their streets — but Green Bay might be doing away with that ban.
The city council is scheduled to take an initial vote Tuesday on an ordinance that would let food trucks operate for most hours of the day and night.
Right now, Green Bay only allows food trucks on private property. Officials say they’d like to see more of them, in an effort to draw more people downtown.
The Green Bay ordinance would include a number of regulations — including a ban on running food trucks with 150 feet of restaurants.
