Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – We’re less than a week away from the 39th Bellin Run.
And while runners and walkers are gearing up for the 10-k challenge….what some say is the backbone of the run’s success is also coming together.
Up to 18-thousand people will be pounding the pavement on Saturday. And their trip through parts of Green Bay and Allouez would be more difficult without the volunteers along the course.
Selys Perry is the Bellin Run volunteer co-ordinator.
She says about 15-hundred volunteers become part of the staff. Some come back year after year to help out.
Some of the volunteers are Bellin staffers, some are middle and high schools students, and some are the people who live along the course.
And they can still use your help.
You can go to bellinrun-dot-com and click on the volunteer tab for more information.
There’s a particular need for help at water stations and course corners.
