ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Two emergency landings happened Friday at Austin Straubel International Airport.
WBAY-TV reports that a flight heading to Minneapolis had to turn around and come back to Ashwaubenon after it was hit by a bird.
The plane’s engine was damaged but no one on board was hurt.
A cargo plane also made an emergency landing after it lost one of its engines.
Airport Director Tom Miller says it’s odd to have 2 emergency landings within a 45-minute span.
