DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Door County has left one person dead and another hospitalized.
Authorities say it happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 42-57 and Gordon Road in the Town of Sevastopol.
Sheriff’s deputies say a vehicle driving eastbound on Gordon Road was stopped at the stop sign, and tried turning north onto Highway 42-57 when it was struck by a southbound vehicle.
One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was rushed to the hospital and their condition is not known.
Authorities say the crash remains under investigation. Highway 42-57 was closed for several hours and was re-opened shortly before noon.
