APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A body has been found in the Fox River in Appleton.
Authorities say the body was discovered by a kayaker Wednesday around 4 p.m. near Memorial Drive and River Road.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan Carpenter says it’s unclear exactly how long the body had been in the water.
“It appears that the body has been there in the water for quite awhile, several months,” Carpenter told FOX 11.
The body is an adult male of an unknown age. Authorities won’t rule anything out at this point and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
