ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities in Brown County say one person is dead following a crash which has knocked out power to over 400 residents.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Department say it happened near Libal Street and Greene Avenue around 12:40 p.m.
Investigators say a driver lost control and struck a fire hydrant and a power pole. His vehicle then started on fire.
A release from Wisconsin Public Service says crews are repairing two power poles.
WPS officials say restoration efforts are expected to last into Friday evening.
