REDGRANITE, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities say a dump truck slammed into a restaurant near Redgranite Friday night injuring seven people.
The crash happened on Highway 21 and W. Main Street at Elmer’s Place.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says the truck was driving west when it hit another vehicle from behind. The dump truck kept going and ended up striking the restaurant.
The driver of the truck was airlifted to a hospital. Five patrons inside the restaurant were injured, along with a passenger in the other vehicle. No word on their conditions.
Police continue to investigate.
