OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) – The woman charged in connection with a fatal heroin overdose has pleaded not guilty.
Online court records indicate that Tiffany Gerrits of Oconto Falls entered that plea Tuesday. A trial date has not been set, and she returns to court July 8.
Gerrits is charged with first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs, manufacturing or delivering heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to deliver.
21-year-old Donald Hudson died last August 29 at his home. Authorities say an autopsy showed he died of a heroin overdose and Gerrits is suspected in the case.
