FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) -Two pets died in an early morning fire in Fond du Lac Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to a home at 410 Ellis Avenue at 3:36 a.m.
Crews saw flames and heavy smoke coming from the back of the house.
Firefighters were able to control the blaze. However, it still severely damaged the inside of the home. Fire officials say the building is now uninhabitable.
No one was hurt. The fire did kill a dog and a cat.
Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
