ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Recent events involving police shootings, seemingly all over the country, has focused a lot of attention on the officers, and criticism for being too quick to pull the trigger at best…and racist at worst.
But a local effort to show cops in Wisconsin how much they are appreciated is underway.
The concept is called “Operation Thank An Officer”. Kassie Dufek says cards, either homemade or purchased, would help.
They can be mailed to Operation Thank An Officer, at 2155 Holmgren Way in Ashwaubenon by May 6th. She’ll take it from there.
