(WNFL)- Brewers’ catcher Jonathan Lucroy is in a 1-20 slump and considering how he hit the ball at Spring Training, manager Ron Roenicke says it makes no sense. After getting over a bad hamstring, Lucroy hit .435 in 46 at-bats last month with five homers, 11 RBI’s, and an on-base-plus-slugging percentage of 1.306. Since the games started to count, Lucroy’s only hit has been a triple late in Friday night’s home loss to Pittsburgh. Still, Roenicke is not all that concerned. He says Lucroy has had some good at-bats. The All-Star catcher was given the day off yesterday, as Martin Maldonado made his first start of the year. Meanwhile, a number of Milwaukee regulars have been struggling at the plate. Ryan Braun is hitting .214, Aramis Ramirez .174, and Scooter Gennett .133. Going into today’s action, the Brewers rank ninth among the 15 National League clubs, with a team batting average of .219.
