GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay’s longtime mayor Jim Schmitt won re-election against City Council President Tom De Wane Tuesday.
Schmitt won with 53 percent of the vote and De Wane had 47 percent.
Schmitt held an election night party at the Titletown Tap Room in downtown Green Bay, while De Wane’s supporters gathered at Mackinaws Grill and Spirits on Green Bay’s east side.
Celebrating with supporters, Schmitt’s third re-election victory has him in line to become Green Bay’s longest tenured mayor.
