TOWNSHIP OF BLACK WOLF, WI (WTAQ) – One person is dead and fire departments were on the scene for hours after a fire broke out around 10:30 Monday night at a home in the Township of Black Wolf, in Winnebago County.
The house is on Highway 45, near County Highway Z.
The dead man has been identified as 64 year old Harold Dekarske. He was the only resident.
Investigation into the fire cause is ongoing. The state is providing assistance in the investigation.
A total of six fire departments and nearly 60 personnel helped put out the fire.
