MONROE, WI (WTAQ) – The former secretary at a New Glarus nursing home will spend two-and-a-half years in jail for stealing more than $800,000.
She entered a no contest plea to the charges.
Prosecutors say Joyce Ziehli took the money over a 10-year period. She actually worked at the home for more than three decades.
Ziehli was accused of writing a series of checks to herself from the New Glarus Home account. The manager says she used a stamp of his signature to cash checks.
Ziehli has to make restitution payments of $295,000.
