WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) – A man has been charged in connection with a drunken fatal hit-run crash over the weekend.
39-year-old Allen Guse is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and hit-and-run involving death in Waupaca County. Online court records indicate Guse was released Tuesday on a $50,000 cash bond.
Guse is due back in court for a preliminary hearing March 26.
Authorities say Guse’s pickup truck crossed the center line and slammed into a minivan on Saturday. The crash killed 35-year-old Matthew Egerer. Guse walked away from the scene and was later taken into custody.
