DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – Almost 2,200 people applied to become the first 25 students at the new Medical College of Wisconsin campus in the Green Bay area.
The facility is scheduled to open this summer at St. Norbert College in De Pere.
Medical campus dean Matthew Hunsaker says the school has sent its enrollment offers to prospective students — and he expects the admitted applicants to make their final decisions by the end of April on whether they’ll attend school there.
The students will get instruction by video conferences, as well as in-person faculty from UW-Green Bay, St. Norbert, and other area institutions.
The Medical College has had a campus in Wauwatosa for years. It plans to open another one in central Wisconsin in 2016.
