WASHINGTON D.C. (WTAQ) – If you’re groggy this morning due to the time change, you’re not alone — and some folks want the government to fix it.
A staffer for U.S. Senate Democrat Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin says her office has received about 50 complaints about Daylight Saving Time over the past two years.
A spokesman tells Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist Jim Stingl there are no legislative proposals to modify or end the use of daylight time — and Baldwin has no plans to “spring forward” such an idea.
“Spring forward” is what we’re reminded to do every March, so we can enjoy an extra hour of daylight in spring and summer evenings. We go back to standard time the first weekend of November.
Stingl wrote that he got an earful about the time change from a man who doesn’t like what it does to his body clock. The man says it also disrupts the feeding schedule for his pets. Others have complained that it forces school kids to head to class in the dark.
