(WNFL)- The Milwaukee Brewers will play UW-Milwaukee this afternoon in their first exhibition game at Spring Training in Phoenix. Right-hander Mike Fiers will start for the Crew and relievers Corey Knebel and Taylor Williams are also expected to get some work in. The Brewers will open their Cactus League exhibition schedule tomorrow against the Angels of Anaheim in Tempe Arizona. UW-Milwaukee was supposed to play a Japanese team on Monday at Surprise Arizona, but that game was rained out. Meanwhile, Brewers’ shortstop Jean Segura and second baseman Scooter Gennett reached agreements on new one-year contracts yesterday. The team renewed reliever Will Smith, after the two sides could not strike a deal.
