MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities in Marinette County say three people suspected of being involved in a methamphetamine ring are behind bars.
According to investigators, a man with crystal meth was going to head to Milwaukee by train where two people from the Kingsford and Iron Mountain Michigan areas were supposed to pick him up.
On Sunday morning, the two men left the Iron Mountain area to pick him up. Authorities pulled over their vehicle around 7 p.m. Sunday in Crivitz. Meth and drug paraphernalia were found thanks to help from a police dog search.
Those arrested were a 46-year-old Othello, Washington man; a 33-year-old Iron Mountain man and a 36-year-old Kingsford area woman.
Authorities are recommending charges of possession with intent to deliver over 50 grams of meth.
