(WNFL)- Adam Lind is at Spring Training, hoping to end the Milwaukee Brewers’ doldrums at first base. Sixteen players have started at least one game at first for the Crew since Prince Fielder left at end of the 2011 campaign. Lind who was traded from Toronto was too busy playing in the American League to notice what the Brewers have been going through. He said the fans had a lot to say about it during the recent “Brewers on Deck” fan festival. Lind said he hopes to give the team at least one solid year, after he hit .321 in 96 games a year ago. He only had six homers last season, after he averaged 28 from 2009-through-’11. However, Lind played on a broken right foot for almost a month, after a foul ball struck it. He didn’t know it was that bad until his back started acting up. The 32-year-old Lind revamped his off-season workouts and says he feels “great” now. He has a one-year deal for $7.5 million, with a team option for eight million next year.
