APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Hortonville village administrator Patrick Vaile made his first court appearance Wednesday, a day after being arrested and jailed.
The 59-year-old Vaile was charged with 16 felony counts and had bond set at $75,000 cash.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Jobe says while his agency was listed as the arresting party, the investigation was handled by the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
Also on Wednesday, Vaile resigned from his position as village administrator.
