MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – About 250 members of a Wisconsin Air National Guard fighter wing are in Japan for a few weeks.
Troops from the 115th Fighter Wing and dozen F-16 Fighting Falcon jets took off a few days ago for Okinawa to support a training mission for the Pacific Command Theater.
The guard members are helping with a variety of operational projects that include disaster relief, defense missions, and fighting piracy.
