The Green Bay Phoenix bolted away from visiting Youngstown State to start the second half Sunday night at the Resch Center and won their fifth in a row comfortably 82-67. Leading by just five at the break, the Phoenix outscored the Penguins 23-7 over the first 7 minutes of the second half to capture their 8th straight victory at home without a loss and improve to 3-0 in Horizon League play. Keifer Sykes led the charge with 24 points, 19 of those in the second half. Sykes, the pre-season Horizon League player of the year, has scored 28, 34 and 24 in three conference games, matching his career high of 34 last Friday night in Milwaukee. Greg Mays finished with 23, one off his career high and Carrington Love added 14. Green Bay outrebounded Youngstown 51-28. The Phoenix (14-3) hit the road later this week beginning with Oakland University on Thursday night.
