BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities in Brown County say the theft of a floor buffer from a Bellevue grocery store cleaning crews may be tied to similar crimes statewide.
The Sheriff’s Department says someone walked away with the machine, valued at $2,000, from the Copps store, 2064 Lime Kiln Road, on December 11.
The floor buffer’s owner says it’s the 7th machine stolen from him in the previous year. Those were all taken from Pick ‘n Save stores in Kenosha, Milwaukee, West Allis, Pewaukee and DeForest. In another case, someone stole 4 batteries out of a scrubber and a charger worth $1,400.
