KENOSHA, WI (WTAQ) – The number of salmonella cases in Kenosha County has grown to 60.
The county’s health agency continues to investigate the source of the outbreak. They’re working with the SuperMercado Los Corrales grocery store in Kenosha, which has closed its meat and food preparation areas for now.
The Kenosha News said one family reported getting sick a day after eating pork carnitas purchased at the store.
Officials say salmonella poisoning can cause various degrees of flu-like symptoms.
