MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) A 37-year-old Cudahy man admits that he was angry that his landlord was raising his rent, so he shot him. The increase was going to be $30 a month.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office says Jason Tilley admitted to the murder. Authorities have not released the victim’s name yet. The landlord was last seen on March 1st. He’d gone to the rental property on Packard Avenue to inform his tenant of the increase. His body was found in the garage. The suspect reportedly moved the victim’s car and abandoned it a few miles away.
Tilley is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon.
