The Green Bay Phoenix went toe to toe with Horizon League leading Wright State before falling to the Raiders 68-64 in Dayton Thursday night.
Green Bay took advantage of cold shooting by the home team to build a 47-36 lead midway through the second half before Grant Benzinger heated up. He scored a game high 22 points leading the comeback after getting the game tied at 58, he hit back to back buckets good for five points to push the Raiders in front for good.
Sandy Cohen led Green Bay with 21 points and 10 rebounds while David Jesperson added a career high 18 but after taking care of the ball very well through most the game, the Phoenix had two costly turnovers in the closing minutes.
