BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Formal charges have been filed against a 33-year-old Green Bay man accused of providing the drugs in the fentanyl overdose death of a pregnant woman.
Shawn Gray faces 14 counts in connection with the June incident at an Allouez home.
The charges are: First Degree Reckless Homicide by Delivering Drugs, First Degree Reckless Homicide of an Unborn Child, Manufacturing/Delivering Heroin (x 2), Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting an Officer, Failing to Provide Information as a Sex Offender, Bail Jumping (x 2), Resisting/Failing to Stop, Hit and Run, and Driving While Revoked.
Gray’s girlfriend Cassandra Nygren is also charged in the case.
She’s the daughter of State Representative John Nygren.
Gray was expected to make an initial appearance Friday, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for November 8.
