LA CROSSE, WI (WSAU) – One in eight female La Crosse area students say they’ve been sexually assaulted, according to a new youth-risk behavior survey. The increase is nearly one percent more the results of the same survey two years ago.
Over 1,500 female high school students participated in the survey which is developed by the Centers for Disease Control.
The survey asked whether they felt pressured, verbally or physically, to take part in sexual activity. 12.2-percent answered ‘yes’.
The last time the survey was done nationally, one-in-five teenage females said they’ve been pressured into sexual activity.
