UNDATED (WSAU) – Authorities are searching for a man accused of robbing a series of ALDI grocery stores at gunpoint across Wisconsin in recent months. The suspect has robbed locations in South Milwaukee, Greenfield, Oconomowoc, Brookfield and Madison.
In each case the armed man hides inside and robs the store just as employees are closing up for the night. Police say he’s been robbing stores about once a month. Investigators think he may be an ex-employee or knows someone who works at ALDI, as he seems to know the stores’ closing procedures. It’s also thought the man has an accomplice or a get-away driver.
The FBI has released a composite sketch of the suspect, and is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information should call the FBI field office in Milwaukee at 414-276-4684.
