GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Seven people have been displaced by a fire at a Green Bay apartment complex.
Crews were called to the two-story building at 803 Lincoln Street around 2:30 pm Monday.
Upon arrival, firefighters rescued residents who were trapped on the first and second floors of the building by leading them to interior stairwells.
The victims were treated on scene, but none of them needed to go to the hospital.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze and began salvage and overhaul work.
The building was ventilated of smoke and other combustion products.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, which started in a basement storage space.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
The building manager is helping the tenants find shelter.
