OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – A 19-year-old Oshkosh man has been taken into custody in connection with a July 27 shooting.
Officers arrested Daniel Billings in the 2200 block of Bowen Street while he was sleeping in an apartment.
Investigators say an anonymous report led to the arrest.
Officer Joe Nichols notes Billings “had warrants out for his arrest for felony First Degree Reckless Injury as a Party to a Crime and Armed Burglary as a Party to a Crime.”
In addition, officers say they arrested an unnamed 18-year-old Oshkosh man in the 800 block of Merritt Avenue on charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide, Armed Robbery, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Nichols says authorities are still piecing together the details on the two men’s potential involvement.
“It’s all part of the investigation. I don’t have the pertinence in regards to how the 18-year-old came into the incident. It will all come out during the formal charging of these two individuals.”
The shooting in the 500 block of Hobbs Avenue left one person with life-threatening injuries.
