GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A development group has laid out plans for a downtown Green Bay property.
DDL Holdings, which is led by Titletown Brewing Company, wants to renovate three abandoned warehouses on the north end of the the Rail Yard property and build 20 high-end town homes along the Fox River.
Titletown COO Jim Kratowicz says “you’d be hard pressed to find another development that took ten of your abandoned buildings and turned them into a destination like we did. Frankly, I think it would be disingenuouos, because we’ve operated in good faith, not to allow us to carry that forward.”
DDL previously renovated three other warehouses on the property, which are now occupied by more than 20 businesses, including Titletown’s Taproom and The Cannery.
The city’s redevelopment authority has approved a development agreement with DDL. It calls for the city to contribute more than $2,000,000.
The council is expected to vote on it next week.
