DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – One of the two men charged in connection with the March disappearance of a Sturgeon Bay teenager has pleaded not guilty at his Door County arraignment.
Thirty-three year old Richard Whiting of De Pere is facing one felony count of Child Enticement.
Whiting is charged along with 40-year-old Zerie Baker of Green Bay, who allegedly chatted with the 17-year-old on a social media application.
Baker reportedly got the teen to agree to meet him for sex and drugs.
The 40-year-old allegedly picked up the teen and drove to Green Bay where Baker, Whiting, and the boy did drugs and had sexual contact.
Authorities say the teen was later spotted in Oshkosh and Milwaukee before officers found him safe in Chicago.
Whiting has a status conference June 6 while Baker’s initial appearance is Tuesday.
