WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — An act of kindness towards police by a Wausau child has been repaid by the most recognizable brand in video gaming.
7-year-old Brady Duke donated his Nintendo Wii and games to the Wausau Police Department shortly after the March 22nd shooting tragedies that took the life of Everest Metro Detective Sgt. Jason Weiland.
Officials from Nintendo caught wind of Brady’s generosity, and made sure he got an upgrade as a thank you. Nintendo sent Brady his own Nintendo Switch, the latest console from the company, and two games to get started.
Congressman Sean Duffy joined several Wausau police officers to deliver the gift to Brady. On their Facebook page, the department asked the community to follow Brady’s example to be a positive influence.
