TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department is looking for help identifying a 911 caller from Labor Day who caused a special response team to be deployed to a home that was, in reality, completely safe.
The caller was looking for help from police, claiming that there was a shooter at his home in Nokomis. His 911 call was directed to Lincoln County’s dispatch, then redirected to Oneida County after he said his address was on Old Road in Tomahawk, just off County Highway N.
If you know who might have made this 911 call, there’s a $1000 reward for information leading to their arrest. The non-emergency line for the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department is 715-361-5100.
