BRILLION, WI (WTAQ) – A crash in Calumet County Monday morning leaves one driver critically hurt.
Authorities say the crash happened on Highway 10 and Long Lake Road near Brillion at 8:27 a.m.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a Toyota Rav-4 was driving eastbound on Highway 10 when it crossed the center line and struck a concrete truck driving westbound.
29-year-old Toua Hang of Manitowoc, who was driving the Toyota, was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck’s driver, 47-year-old David Forbeck of De Pere, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A person had called police shortly before the crash saying they saw a smaller green SUV driving recklessly in the area just west of where the crash happened.
The highway had to be closed for several hours after the crash, which remains under investigation.
