ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities say a 24-year-old Ashwaubenon man is behind bars after a woman claims he held her against her will for six days, repeatedly sexually and physically assaulting her.
According to Ashwaubenon Public Safety, the 26-year-old woman contacted the department Tuesday. She says she went to the man’s apartment in the 2100 block of Carstensen Lane last Wednesday to talk to the man. The couple has a child together, according to police.
The woman claims the man took her phone, started reading messages on it and punched her in the face. She says while she was being held against her will, the man stabbed her in the arm with a hunting knife along with sexually assaulting her. He also broke her phone during that time.
The alleged victim says the ordeal ended on Monday, but investigators have not said how or why.
The man was jailed on a probation violation. Police are recommending charges of substantial battery, second-degree sexual assault, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment and disorderly conduct.
Jail records indicate the man’s name is Michael A. Ferguson.
