ST. CROIX COUNTY, WI (WSAU) — St. Croix County Sheriff’s officials have determined that a reported abduction of a juvenile near New Richmond has turned out to be untrue.
The abduction was reported this morning around 9:30am in the Town of Star Prairie, north of New Richmond. A juvenile female gave information that lead the sheriff’s office to a residence in the Town of Stanton on CTH K and found a female victim inside the residence who had lacerations and bruising, but enough information has been gathered to determine that no other parties were involved in this incident and there was not an attempt at an abduction.
Because both girls are juveniles, their names will not be released. The girls know each other and have been treated for injuries. This incident remains under investigation by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office.
