GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The annual Festival Foods Fire Over the Fox event begins Monday afternoon.
The opening will be at 1 p.m. on the Brown County Courthouse lawn with a Liberty Bell Ringing and Veterans Salute.
The celebration continues with live music and entertainment on 7 stages located in Leicht Memorial Park and along both sides of the Fox River.
The Neville Public Museum will be open until 6 p.m., featuring the secrets of the people and the fort that brought America to Green Bay at their newest exhibit, “Life and Death at Fort Howard.”
Starting at 3 p.m., the Fox River will boast more than just fireworks with the Waterboard Warriors waterski show. The hour-long show, between Main Street and Walnut Street, will feature exciting acts of human pyramids, waterski jumps and synchronized ballet.
It will conclude with the Festival Foods Fireworks show starting at 9:45 p.m. Preferred seating area tickets can be purchased for $10 at area Festival Foods stores, Bosse’s News on Cherry Street, and Ticket Star by calling (800) 895-0071.
The preferred seating area includes folding chairs, bathroom facilities, a bar area and an amazing view. It’s located at Leicht Memorial Park along the paved area next to the Fox River.
A collection will also be held to support Ben’s Wish. You can bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to local food pantries. Collection points will be on the east and west sides of the Ray Nitschke Bridge.
If you plan to attend, officials say you’re not allowed to bring the following items:
- Personal Fireworks
- Large Carry-Ins or Coolers
- Pets
- Drones
