CHISAGO CITY, MN (WTAQ) – A 38-year-old man is due back in court Wednesday, after police in Minnesota suspected that he was holding a woman against her will while driving her from northwest Wisconsin.
The victim’s mother told Lakes Area Police that Brian Harris took methamphetamines heavily, and there were reports that he shot at vehicles he thought were following him from Polk County along Highway 8.
On January 25th, a police sergeant arrested Harris in what was called a “high risk” traffic stop at a gas station in Chisago City, Minnesota — and officers say they later found two weapons and meth in the vehicle.
Harris, of Utah, was charged with committing a crime while wearing a bulletproof vest — and carrying a pistol in public without a required permit.
Police say the woman later claimed she was “terrified” by him, but she wasn’t being held against her will.
