(WNFL) – The Green Bay Packers sacked Colin Kaepernick six times on Sunday, bringing the total number of sacks to 17 in the first four weeks of the NFL season. That total is tied for the second-highest total in the NFL. The Packers share the second spot with the St. Louis Rams, who travel to Lambeau Field on Sunday. The Denver Broncos lead the league with 18 sacks. The Packers are spreading the wealth. Five of the six sacks recorded Sunday were from different players. Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers said the decision to shift Clay Matthews to the middle has aided the development of the outside linebackers. Removing Matthews from the edge created more opportunities for the younger players like Nick Perry and Jayrone Elliott.
