(WNFL) – The Green Bay women’s basketball team powered to a convincing 79-58 win over Tulane in its second game of the Paradise Jam at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center in St. Thomas, USVI. As a team, the Phoenix (3-1) combined to shoot 12-of-18 (66.7%) from three-point range and set a new Paradise Jam record for three-point percentage in a single game.
Senior Kaili Lukan led the Phoenix scoring effort and tallied a season-high 25 points on six-of-10 shooting, three-of-three from beyond the arc, doled out five assists and pulled down five rebounds in 39 minutes on the floor. Lukan also went 10-for-14 from the free throw line to notch a new career high in free throws made. The guard helped direct the offense the entire game, but also played an enormous role on the defensive end by collecting a season-high five steals.
Sophomore Allie LeClaire had a career afternoon in the game against the Green Wave (3-3), pouring in a career-high 20 points and pulling down five rebounds in her 38 minutes of action. LeClaire finished seve-of-13 from the field and finished nearly perfect from long range, hitting five-of-six from three-point land.
