(WNFL) – Brett Favre is among 25 semi-finalists for the Pro Football Hall-of-Fame. The nomination was announced Tuesday, two days before the Green Bay Packers honor Favre by unveiling his retired Number-Four on the Lambeau Field facade. Favre tops the list of the 25 Hall-of-Fame nominees. The legendary quarterback won a Super Bowl and three MVP awards with the Packers during his 16 seasons in Green Bay. It was part of a 20-year NFL career which also included stops in Atlanta, New York with the Jets, and Minnesota. Favre retired five years ago with 508 career touchdown passes and 186 victories. Linebacker Kevin Greene, a former assistant to Mike McCarthy in Green Bay, is a repeat finalist. The list will be cut down to 15 finalists in January, and the enshrinees will be announced the day before the Super Bowl. They’ll be inducted at Canton next August.
