GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Residents on Green Bay’s far west side are being reminded to lock their vehicles in the wake of a series of thefts.
Police say they’ve received several reports of vehicle theft over the past week in the area of Lacount Road, between West Mason and West Point Road.
Authorities say the crimes generally happen during the overnight or early morning hours. Common items reported stolen include wallets, purses, and portable electronics such as cell phones, tablets and GPS units.
Residents are urged to call in any suspicious activities, vehicles, or people in the area, especially after dark.
To prevent theft, police say residents who park their vehicles outside a locked garage or building, should lock all doors and remove any valuable items.
